My View

Dr. Bennett's view of psychological services is that you, the patient, are contracting with her, the clinician, to assist you and/or your family members with issues which are significantly impacting your life. In order for those services to be of the greatest benefit, you will need to be actively involved in every aspect of your assessment and treatment process. Thus, as the first few sessions occur, Dr. Bennett will conjointly develop treatment goals which fit with her diagnostic understanding of your needs, thereby ensuring that all clinical services are delivered in a clear, effective, agreed upon manner. In the Form Section of this website, you will find the Services Agreement and Privacy Notice which, along with the other required new patient forms, you will need to read, sign and return as the foundation of a good working relationship between us.

Confidentiality

All communication in therapy is confidential, except for those exclusions summarized in the Services Agreement and Privacy Notice. Additionally, the laws and standards of my profession do require that I keep a clinical record of your treatment, which you are entitled to review or have summarized at any time). Also, should you wish me to speak to a third-party on your behalf (such as your physician), please read, fill out, and return a Release of Information form, also found under the Form tab, which will allow me to seek appropriate consultations with your full knowledge and consent.
Payment Arrangements

Dr. Bennett is an out-of-network provider, meaning that she is able to generate an emailed superbill to you after each session for your direct submission to your insurance carrier for your plan-designated reimbursement. As such, you will be making payment directly to Dr. Bennett at the rate of $300 per 50-minute hour each time you meet with her and then you will receive your superbill that same day for you to pass on to your insurance company. Thus, as part of your new-patient packet materials on the Form tab, you will need to complete a designated credit card/authorization which is kept in a secure file for this purpose.
Cancellation Policy

Dr. Bennett requires 24 hour notice for a single session cancellation and 48 hours for a double session cancellation to avoid being charged for “time reserved.” Exceptions are made for acute illness and emergency situations.
